I got stuck on this for a bit a few weeks ago and couldn’t find any straight forward articles about it. So I thought I’d add one here in hopes it helps someone else out. It’s pretty simple!
Ok so the scenario, you’ve just had a client move their email to Office365 and you want to either continue using Symantec.cloud email protection or you want to make sure your client doesn’t miss out on email still being redirect to the Symantec.cloud until you retire your Symantec.cloud or repurpose it.
Firstly head over to your Office365 admin dashboard and goto Settings -> Domains
Select the domain you are interested in and make a note of the Exchange Online MX record value. It might look something like this: <yourdomain.co.uk>.mail.protection.outlook.com
Now head over to your Symantec.cloud dashboard and goto: Services -> Inbound routes
Add and Check a new Registered Default Inbound Route and a point your domains inbound route at the value: <yourdomain.co.uk>.mail.protection.outlook.com
That should do it! If your setting up Symantec.cloud for the first time you’ll also need to add MX record to your domains DNS records for more information on this consult the Symantec Email Services Deployment Guide.
